How to Draw A Hoodie. Drawing offers many challenges when approaching a new subject. The things we see most often in life are surprisingly difficult to draw.

Clothing is one of those things we are very familiar with, but it can be quite challenging when drawing them.
Most of us have worn a hoodie at some point, but if you’ve ever tried to draw one, you might have found that it’s harder than it looks!
How to Draw A Hoodie
Step 1
To start this tutorial on how to draw a hoodie, let’s start with the part of the garment that gives it its name: the hood!
This is a fairly easy step, and we’ll draw the hood by drawing a sharply curved line that looks like the one in our reference image.
Step 2
You can start painting your hoodie’s sleeves with the hood pulled up. For the left arm, draw a line just above where the left side of the hood ends.
The line of this arm curves sharply before moving back to the hood. When that arm is done, you can repeat the process except mirrored on the right side.
Step 3
Now that you have the hood and arms ready, you can draw the body of your hoodie! This step should be relatively easy if you’ve made it this far!
Using the reference image as a guide, the line for the hoodie’s body starts under the arm.
It will almost touch the top of the arm line, but there should be a small gap between the lines.
The body of the hoodie takes on a fairly rectangular shape, beginning and ending at the armpits.
While the shape will be loosely rectangular, make sure you have a slight curve at the corners of the hoodie.
Step 4
In this step of our tutorial on how to draw a hoodie, we will add even more details.
First, a hoodie would be useless if it didn’t have a hole to poke your head through! We don’t want this to be a useless hoodie, so we’ll add a hole to your hoodie’s design.
The shape of the hole is rounded at the top but ends in a sharper, thinner point at the bottom of the hoodie.
Now that you have this important part of the hoodie, let’s add some cuffs. To do this, draw some thin shapes on the ends of your hoodie’s sleeves.
Once that’s done, you can draw a shape that resembles the hoodie’s lower body. Once that looks like the picture, you can get down to the final details!
Step 5
Your hoodie design is now almost complete! You’ll be ready to add some color pretty soon, but first, we need to add some final touches to your design.

First, use wavy lines under the hole for the head to make the drawstrings for the hoodie.
Next, draw some slightly curved lines across the body of the hoodie to create pockets.
Finally, draw some lines on top of the shapes you created at the ends of the arms and body of the hoodie for extra texture detail.
We want to add these last details, but feel free to add as many fun details as you like!
Step 6
The hoodie is drawn, the final details have been added, and you’re almost at the end of this tutorial on how to draw a hoodie!

We hope you had fun designing your hoodie because now the fun continues! Let your creativity run free for this step, and show us how creative you are!
We colored our image a nice light blue, so this is one way to do it! Don’t let that limit you; go for the colors you love!
Another fun way to customize your hoodie’s design would be to add a fun design to the front of the hoodie.
This can be anything from your favorite music artist’s logo, a movie you love, or the face of a beloved pet!
What design and colors would you add to this hoodie? Try out cool artistic mediums like paint, watercolor, or crayons to get beautiful color detail!
